Did you know that the Uenuku Pines MTB Park is currently the only dedicated mountain bike park with single track trails full of fun features in the Ruapehu region?!

Ruapehu Mountain Biking Club is Ruapehu's local mountain biking club that is run by a small team of local volunteers. Part of the club's duties is looking after and caring for the Uenuku Pines MTB Park and liasing with the Uenuku Iwi and NZ Forest Managers.

Over the past couple of years the club has been working on creating programs and social rides, increase club participation and memberships, and continuously grow the mountain biking trails in the Uenuku Pines MTB Park!

The current year of 2023 has been a big year for the club with focusing on the trail building work after logging that occurred in 2022.

Rolling into the 22/23 summer we have been running our weekly working bees every Saturday with focus on ongoing trail maintenance and establishing new trails. The recent funding from Ground Effect and Trail Fund NZ has helped us purchase new trail building tools and build our newest trail addition - Loose Chain!
